Sub-centre inaugurated at Tutheze village

A new sub-centre at Tutheze village under Kiphire sadar block, Kiphire district, was inaugurated by district programme officer (RCH/UIP), Dr. K Pewezo Khalo on Monday.
In a press release, district media officer, Haichikambe Pame informed that guest of honour, Dr. K Pewezo Khalo assured that the medical department would look into the requirements of the health centre and provide facilities for smooth functioning of the unit.
Dr. Pewezo spoke about the importance of health centre in the village and urged upon the village leaders and public to utilise the facilities to the optimum.
He also asked the villagers to take full ownership of the health unit and to look after the centre as their private property.
The DPO stressed on the importance of community participation during health programmes and activities carried out by the department. On the importance of community contribution, Dr. Pewezo said in order for the centre to move ahead and have better facilities, community participation was also required.
