Team Nagaland thrashed Indian Public School Conference (IPSC) 6-0 in the second group match for the team at the ongoing U-14 Subroto Cup International Football Tournament in New Delhi on Thursday.
In the process, Kevisede scored a hat-trick as Nagaland now becomes the dominant team in its group winning both the matches it had played so far
With this win, team Nagaland now has a total of 6 points with its last Pool-F match against Haryana to be played on Saturday.
The team is made up of students from Greenwood School Dimapur.
Starting its aggression against IPSC, Nagaland’s striker Kevisede netted the first goal within the 7th minute of the game and in less than 4 minutes doubled his score.
Adding salt to the wound, IPSC’s own goal left the score at 3-0 in favour of Nagaland till the first half.
Nagaland’s Sulanthung added the fourth goal in the 31st minute of the game as the team gained confidence.
Within 4 minutes of the fourth goal, Kevisede seized another opportunity to score his hat-trick setting the bar higher for their opponents who by this time were only waiting for the inevitable final whistle.
With another goal in the 36th minute of the game from Sulanthung, the deal was sealed. The young Naga boys have performed well so far in the two matches and their prospect to progress in the Cup is bright.
