Food Corporation of India (FCI) has informed that sufficient stocks of rice were available in central pool to meet the requirement of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and other schemes as well as for additional requirement of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for the state of Nagaland. In a press release, FCI regional office Dimapur informed that as on December 13, 2022, approximately 44684 MT of rice was available in the central pool, which is well above the buffer norms /operational requirement. Out of 17155 MT allocated for December 2022 (which includes all schemes), 3331 MT had been offtake/lifted by state during December while there is 13824 MT of balance stock to be lifted by state.
