The Journal and Research committee of Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC) conducted a talk on the importance of Research in Higher Education on February 23 with Dr. Joseph Longkumer., Asst. Prof. Department of History as the resource person. In his presentation, Dr. Joseph stressed on the importance to pursue research to cope up with the rising trend in the field of artificial intelligence and various technological tools. He highlighted on the essential requirement of professional development programmes for the faculty. Longkumer further said that insufficient financial support, ill equipped library, lack of interest, etc. were some of the lapses faced by most of the faculty in research domain.
