In a bid to have an interface with the electorates of 29 Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency, advisor of Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba undertook an intensive tour covering all the villages and units under his constituency.
On December 15 and 16, the advisor along with the party leaders toured Alongkima, Waromung, Dibuia, Mongchen, Chungliyimsen and Khar villages.
He was accompanied by Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) leaders, Changki village council and others.
Press secretary to the advisor informed that the tour was a continuation of the mega sensitization programme for different governmental programmes that began on November 26 but halted due to Hornbill Festival. The tour commenced on December 15.
Temjenmenba during his public meetings, thanked the electorates and the villages under the constituency for electing him as the People’s representative to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. He called upon the people to join hands with him in the collective endeavor to bring development in the constituency. He also reiterated his election motto of “bringing and working for development in a mission mode”.
During the tour, Temjenmenba also handed over the completed Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme cards to the village councils to be distributed to the beneficiaries who were recently registered during the Beneficiary Identification Drive (BIS) sponsored by him under NDPP 29 Jangpetkong AC.
Meanwhile, working president of NDPP, N. Bendang Jamir, who also spoke at the tour, congratulated the constituency for electing a dynamic leader like Temjenmenba. He pointed out that the transport department, which was neglected for long time, has now become one of the most vibrant departments and serving the people all over the state.
NDPP Mokokchung region president Mayangnungba, who also spoke at the programme, pointed out that NDPP under 29 Jangpetkong AC under the initiative of Temjenmenba has taken a huge step within a short period of time like the “sensitization programme” and registration of beneficiaries for Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) etc.
Apart from the village council members and other leaders, president of Jangpetkong Senso Mungdang (JSM) Purtoshi appealed the party and the elected legislator to work tirelessly for the development of the Jangpetkong range.
President of 29 Jangpetkong AC, Aodangnok and the NDPP Mokokchung Region Treasurer, Pangerzulu also spoke at the programme.
