A state of the art auditorium at Tetso College christened Lorin Hall (in memory of its late founder Dr. P.S. Lorin) was inaugurated by NBCC general secretary, Rev. Dr Zelhou Keyho on Monday.
The multipurpose auditorium with a sitting capacity of more the 450 consists of SMD Full Color Concert Stage LED Screen Panel, audio, lighting, and air-conditioned seating will cater to large meetings, talk shows, presentations, and performances of the college.
The grand opening program kicked off with the unveiling of the building plaque and a dedicatory prayer by Rev. Dr Zelhou Keyho, followed by the processional and watering of the Tree of Excellence by various school heads.
Addressing the dignitaries and student congregation, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho remembered the late founder Dr. P.S. Lorin and the humble beginnings of the college, taking his life as an example of God’s faithfulness.
As a man of service who persevered, Dr. P.S. Lorin embodied the idea that Christian faith demands deeds and not just words, and that everyone have to take “risks in life to achieve something,”. He exhorted the students to remember the purpose of life and to fulfill a purpose given by God. The College Anthem – Strive For Excellence – was also launched at the programme in a special performance by Tetso Choir with the composer Nise Meruno, acclaimed pianist and Yamaha artist.
