Thanksgiving prog organised for MLAs

Kohima Lotha Baptist Church (KLBC) organised a thanksgiving programme for the four elected legislators from the Lotha community at the church conference hall, here on Sunday.
Deputy Chief Minister incharge of Home, Y Patton, who spoke at the programme, acknowledged the KLBC for organising the event, which he described it as a heartwarming programme and to get closer to God. He appealed to the different political parties to forgive and forget the differences during the general election and work together for peace and development in the state.
Mhathung Yanthan Advisor Agriculture, Mhonbemo Humtsoe MLA, and Achumbemo Kikon MLA, also at the programme. The programme was chaired by Mhonchumo, pastor KLBC, while Rev. Dr. Benry Lotha senior Pastor KLBC exhorted the gathering.
Victory by the grace of God: Jwenga
Ar. Jwenga Seb, who has been elected from 12 – Tseminyu Assembly Constituency held a thanksgiving programme on April 1 at the TLBC Convention Ground, Tesophenyu.
In his speech, Jwenga said his victory was not because of good political strategy or money power and might but by the grace and providence of God.
Jwenga assured to honour his election promises for a progressive, transformative and resilient community. He also reiterated the need and commitment to make Tseminyu a model district, beginning with the principles of equitable and proportionate development.
He then encouraged the gathering and the community to remain united, disciplined, accommodative and patient in the shared dreams, aspirations and endeavours towards achieving their goals.
The programme was chaired by Er. Tesinlo Semy; word of God and prayers were said by Senshweni Seb and JD(U) Tseminyu unit president, Wekhenu Mesen delivered the welcome address; cultural song was presented by the Tesophenyu group; Obed Kath and Keziah Semy also presented special numbers; short speeches were also delivered by public leaders and party leaders, and vote of thanks by Tesophenyu Group Public Union (Central) president, Phanisha Chung.
