The nature of divisiveness in Naga politics is so astounding that the most common people are left behind. The intrinsic qualities of democracy is diminishing without knowledge in this present time. The word, ‘compassion’ and ‘trustworthiness’ is equally synonymous with the development of the people and care for the people.
If one truly believes that the actions one takes would be held accountable and justifiable for the people without any qualms in their mind then I could perceive that person would be equally beneficial for the society as a whole.
Without an ounce of progressive action, I personally believe that one cannot stack their bets on someone who hasn’t proven themselves.
We should not be concerned for this current generation but for the upcoming youths of the future generation.
Many of the public would agree in believing the greater independence of the Naga nation as whole and as I heard and quote from one respected candidate (Shri Y. Vikekho Awomi Dimapur-II), ‘that it is not arms or force but the true way of governing/government leading the people through the way of dialogue not concerning for the complications but genuine care for the Naga people that the people can arise as a whole, unitedly with one purpose and greater vision not only for this generation but their sons and daughters which would lead to betterment of life’.
Money can buy power no doubt in line with the current authority or position one is inplaced (seated) but one cannot impose a barrier to the judgement for the choice for a better life and advocate for a greater and prosperous welfare for the people without genuine integrity from the heart.
So, I ask the people, could you distinguish the reasons of greed or the future of the next and next generation without a guilt in one’s conscience.
I have seen the residency of the ruling party members in power (like for example the roads from Court Junction to St. John) which is a prime example of craters which leaves people of the society with hollow dreams.
One should realise the valuablity of their votes as it deems inheritance of a better quality of life but also for the upcoming current generation of the Naga people.
I wouldn’t say I can advise people on who to vote but I have a made a conscious decision of who to vote in ways of literacy, past achievements and not the way of the general rule of where money talks.
We should not let religion/greed in casting a doubt in the way of our true Christian beliefs.
With an earnest appeal, I would like to quote these the two verse for greater of Nagaland and her people;
Hosea 4:6 (ESV)
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..
Romans 13:1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.;
One vote equals to better governance which would lead in change for the upliftment of the society as a whole.
