‘The Bookhome’ library inaugurated in Kohima

“The Bookhome”, a library for children was inaugurated near ETE Coffee, Billy Graham Road, Kohima by advisor to chief minister, Abu Metha on Saturday.
According to DIPR report, Metha in his speech, congratulated the proprietor and lauded for releasing her long felt dream into reality which would be helpful not only for children but also to those who have inculcated the habit of reading.
He shared how reading has been part and parcel of his life and how reading helped him to keep himself abreast with the latest happenings around the world.
Metha also mentioned that devices and films do help but nothing could be substituted to reading.
Therefore, he emphasized the importance of reading and urged children to inculcate the habit of reading.
Children’s Author, Theyie Keditsu who shared a few words on the occasion congratulated and lauded the efforts of the proprietor for coming up with a library.
Keditsu also emphasized the importance of reading to children even though they could not read by themselves. Penthrill Publication House, Rita Krocha also spoke at the programme.
Proprietor of The Bookhome, Yirmiyan Arthur chaired the programme while thanksgiving prayer was offered by Pastor City Church, Kedo Peseyie.
