On account of “International Day of Older Persons”, Tribal Old Age Home-cum-Day Care Centre (TOAHDCC) in collaboration with Breeze Women Welfare Society organised the 2nd senior citizens festival of praise concert on October 15, at the Livingstone Foundation International Auditorium.
Several Senior Citizens (musicians and singers) from Kohima, Chumukedima and Dimapur – Shilu Amri, Ivukhu Chisho, Silas Care Centre Senior Citizens Fellowship, Dr. Nicky Kire, Akok Tally, TOAHDCC Senior Citizens, T. Lanusosang, Gugs Chishi, Tsüza Imchen and Rev. Dirang presented melodies. Special honour and gift were given to the oldest man Anil Roy (86 years) and oldest woman Purumaya (90 years) present in the event.
The event was chaired by Kilentola Jamir, invocation by Rev. Dr. Weyiete Lohe, keynote address by Director of TOAHDCC, Imlitongzuk Amri, who also highlighted about the organisation and the vision for organising the Senior Citizens Concert. The programme concluded with a prayer by assistant pastor, Grace to Glory Church, Sungit Longkumer.
