Tokhu Emong mini-Hornbill festival commences in Wokha

First day of the “Lotha Tokhu Emong mini-Hornbill Festival 2022 and night carnival” commenced Thursday at Local ground, Wokha with executive engineer power Wokha, Er. Chonronthung Ezung as the inaugural special guest.
According to a DIPR report, Er. Ezung spoke on the need for the community to prosper and urged the Lotha community to prevail the sense of forgiveness among one another as “Tokhu Emong” signifies forgiveness, love and strengthening the relationship within the community.
The special guest also inaugurated the night carnival where around 100 stalls are being set up by different Self Help Groups (SHGs), government departments and local entrepreneurs.
The four-day long festival will witness various indigenous games, folk dances, folk songs and “modern Lotha songs”. The last day of the festival will be graced by Imkong L. Imchen, MLA, as the Tokhu Emong mini Hornbill Festival 2022 special guest.
