Minister for Housing & Mechanical (PWD), Tongpang Ozukum on Thursday, inspected construction of community hall at Yaongyimti Old and Yaongyimti New under Mokokchung district, which was being undertaken from funds provided under the “Iconic Project”.
In a press release, PS to minister said the concept of iconic projects was introduced during the presentation of 2021-22 state budget by chief minister Neiphiu Rio in February.
In this regard, each member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) could take up an iconic project under LADP annually as per specific needs in each constituency.
During the visit, the minister along with NDPP members interacted with village council leaders and party members at Yaongyimti Old, Yaongyimti New and Phangsang. The minister was accompanied by members of NDPP Angetyongpang A/C under NDPP Mokokchung region.
