Tovihoto graces Netaji colony Silver Jubilee

Netaji Colony on Saturday celebrated Silver Jubilee at Youth Hostel, Netaji Colony, Dimapur, with advisor, Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi, as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, Ayemi stated that jubilee celebration was a time to pay respect and honor those pioneers who had sacrificed for the well being of the future.
“Jubilee is a time to celebrate, get together, and come together as one in spirit and in prayer”, Ayemi stated.
He regarded Netaji colony as one amongst the most peaceful colony in Dimapur, and that itself was a true essence and example of secularism.
Tovihoto also lauded the unity and integrity of the colony and encouraged the council members to continue to be active and go beyond their colony. He advised the council to see that the colony was regarded as a model colony.
Speaking on the present opposition-less government under the banner of United Democratic Alliance, Tovihoto said that today’s government was “public centric”, and that under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, the government has been recognized by the people for its good deeds.
He further appealed the general public to involve in all governmental activities, give constructive criticism.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Elvis Yanthan and invocation by Pastor, Hope of Life Ministry, Sanjay Kr Dey. Welcome address was delivered by chairman, Netaji Colony Council, Wekhro K Mero.
Short speeches were also delivered by advocate, PB Paul (Swapan), Khetoli Chishi, and advocate, YP Gupta. Highlights of the programme included opening song by Sonali Lodh, Sumi Baidya & group and Heto Chishi and siblings.
