Training on screenplay writing

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, ten-day training on screenplay writing got underway at the Directorate of Information & Public Relations on Monday.
The resource person of the training was senior faculty, Direction Department, Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, Prof. Sudipto Acharyya.
Additional director, DIPR, DzüvinuoTheünuo said that the first phase of training which was conducted online was a success due to the resource person and the FTII. She said that screenplay writing was a new thing for the Nagas to explore and therefore encouraged the trainees to take advantage of the ongoing training. Theünuo also briefed on the history of the department and invited the guests to the Hornbill Festival. Prof. Sudipto Acharyya hoped that the experiences and initiatives during the training will help in encouraging to create more screenplay writers in the future. The training is conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in collaboration with DIPR for ST participants residing in Nagaland and will culminate of November 24.
