Tuensang, Longleng DPDB meetings highlight CMHIS

Tuensang and Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting discussed various developmental issues of the respective districts besides underscoring the need to enrol government employees and beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS).
In Tuensang, the monthly meeting was held Friday at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang office under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman DPDB Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant. According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, the DC apprised the members on CMHIS registration process. The members were also updated on the skill mela which was held at Dimapur.
The members also discussed and approved the proposal for the exhibition match between DPDB Tuensang and Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen in aid of fund raise on “Mission Wesen” and “Mission 0% Free”. Regarding Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tuensang, agriculture department and SBI Tuensang were asked to hold a meeting for the smooth implementation of the scheme in the district.
Longleng: Longleng DPDB meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and vice chairman DPDB Longleng, Dharam Raj on November 10 at DPDB Hall, Longleng.
According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Sadar, Chingmei highlighted the members on CMHIS and setting up of registration centres for enrolment of government employees and beneficiaries under CMHIS.
While presenting the agendas for approval of teachers and fourth grade staff in the Government High School (GHS) and Government Middle School (GMS) in the district, Sr. SDEO & DEO in-charge Longleng, Yahuto Kath highlighted the grievances faced by the government schools in the district due to shortage of teachers.
Supplementing to the Sr. SDEO, the DC lamented that with such situation, the grievances of the government schools in the district would go on unless the government comes up with a new policy to redress the issues. SDO (Civil) Longleng briefed on conduct of inter department sports events in the district, collection of membership fees for Officers’ Club and appointment of president of the club. Accordingly, the board constituted a five-member executive committee for selection of president for officers’ club.
The departmental activity was presented by the Department of Social Welfare where CDPO, Longleng, T. Longlang Luckpan highlighted on the various activities taken up by the Department. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Longleng was entrusted to present the activities of the department in the next DPDB meeting.
