United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) reiterates stand on ‘taxation’

United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC), the apex body of Sangtam students’ community, has reiterated its resolution to not allow or entertain any “undue taxation by any individuals, agents, and factions against all the developmental activities under education department, medical, road and bridges construction and aspirational funds for development activities under Sangtam jurisdiction.”

In a press release, USSC president, Samuel B Sangtam and general secretary, Lumpili Sangtam have asked all contractors and department to provide work order and Detail Project Report (DPR) to USSC office.
The conference also warned that the quality of workmanship shall not be compromised from any contractors within its jurisdiction.

USSC also cautioned that it would initiate its “own course of action” against those who violates its notice.
While reminding the head of departments of its earlier notice, USSC said the conferenced has “totally banned” transfer with post/attachment without reliever.
The conference said it would not compromise on the issues and sought cooperation from all concerned.
