NDPP candidate for 23 Impur A/C T.N. Mannen, LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate for 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, Kitoho S. Rotokha and NDPP candidate for 29 Jangpetkong A/C, Temjenmenba kicked off election campaign on February 20.
T.N. Mannen: Starting the programme from Khanimo village, the intending candidate covered his native Longjang, followed by Longpa village, Kubolong town and Chami village. He spoke about his visions and shared his dream for the upliftment of the constituency which has been relatively remained neglected for more than two decades.
Various officials from both NDPP and BJP parties of Mokokchung district as well as from NDPP central office attended and spoke at the programme.
Kitoho S. Rotokha: Addressing the gathering at Medziphema Town, local ground, Kitoho S. Rotokha said LJP has 16 strong candidates and expressed confidence that minimum 10 candidates will be elected.
He acknowledged his supporters for firmly standing and supporting him for the right job, regardless of the circumstances.
Rotokha said that he was standing for change and that in order to bring about change, he required the support of everyone.
Rotokha further claimed that LJP will play a crucial rule in forming the government as there are a natural allied of NDA government in the centre.
Temjenmenba: Delivering his speech at Khar village, Temjenmenba highlighted his vision to constitute a development committee in every village for the welfare and development of the villages and develop a fund for the pension of every ex-village councilor.
Short speeches were delivered by Khar village council member, Changki Ayim Asem Senso Mungdang, president, Aotsungba Longchari and others.
