Various programmes conducted at educational institutions

Various programmes and activities for the students and teaching staff as part of the yearly curriculum or extracurricular activities were conducted at educational institutions.
SJC (A) Jakhama: All Nagaland state level math quiz competition for class 10 students (NBSE syllabus) was conducted by the department of Mathematics, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama in collaboration with Commission for Education Diocese of Kohima (CEDOK) on November 12 at SJC (A) Jakhama under the theme “Eliminating Fear, thinking logically”.
Altogether 16 schools from Dimapur, Mokokchung, Longleng and Kohima participated in the event which was graced by CEDOK secretary, Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob Charalel.
Modern School, New Market, Kohima represented by Muna Kumar and Richard Kuotsu secured the first position followed by Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima represented by Metejopinu Khanyo and Aleena Ann Abey in the second position. The third position was awarded to Queen Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung represented by Supongmenla Kichu and Likhuli Sangtam while consolation prizes were awarded to Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur and St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Viswema.
SMHSS: St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dimapur celebrated its “31stannual day” function on November 11-12 at S.K. Dutta Auditorium with minister for higher education, tribal affairs and state president, BJP, Nagaland, Temjen Imna Along as the chief guest. The celebration was marked by various dance items, songs and drama by the children.
