The 2nd Open Volleyball tournament which started on October26 concluded on Friday at public ground Kiphire. The Two days tournament was organized by Elite Frontier Club Kiphire.
At the closing programme, president of the Elite Frontier Club Kiphire, Thsisepi Yingbhithongru said that the main aim of the tournament was to build bridges amongst the youth from across the state and particularly in Kiphire district through sports.
Thsisepi Yingbhithongru said that many youths are on drugs and alcohols and that organizing such tournament may give them hope to return to their normal life. He further acknowledged all the participant for their keen interest and in making the tournament successful.
Altogether, ten Clubs took part at the two-day tournament. Star Club were declared champions of the tournament while Thakiya village were declared 1st runners- up. Kiboto sumi of Star Club was adjudged at the best player while Iloto of Thakiya village was adjudged at the best spiker.
