The voting on postal ballot in Nagaland began on Monday.
In Kohima, polling personnel, police personnel and others drafted in election duty for the ensuing general election cast their vote through postal ballot.
The facilitation centre for the government drivers requisitioned for election duty was at DB’s Court, DC office Kohima, 10th IRB personnel at 10th IRB camp Zadima and 4th NAP at 4th NAP camp, Thizama.
On Tuesday, facilitation centre for Police Headquarters was held at PHQ Kohima for DEF, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Service, C/Coy 13 (IR) Yajang and NAP Rangers, 6th NAP Tizit, the facilitation centre at SP office Kohima and the facilitation centre for E/Coy 10th (IR) Zadima at Khuzama T.B. Hospital. The casting of postal ballots will commence from 9 am till 4 pm.
CHUMOUKEDIMA: The voting on postal ballot for preventive detention and 7th NAP (IR) D.Coy was held at Chumoukedima.
For the first time, postal ballot casting took place for Prevention Detention, at Central Jail, Diphupar, Chumoukedima, three detainees cast their votes. In the 7th NAP (IR) D. Coy, 60 voters cast their vote.
Postal ballot box for 59 & 60 AC sealed in Kiphire: The ballot box for postal votes has been sealed for 59 Seyoching – Sitimi AC & 60 Kiphire-Pungro AC on February 20 at the DC office Kiphire.
The task was carried out in the presence of ADC & RO 59 AC, Renbomo, ADC & RO 60 AC, Robin, EAC HQ, Ane Khieya, EAC Pungro, Yitachu and representatives of the political parties.
