A team of the Working Committee of NNPGs delegation will be leaving for Delhi on September 26 (Monday) to hold talks with Government of India’s representative for Naga talks, AK Mishra.
Informing this to Nagaland Post earlier on September 23, WC/NNPGs co-convenor Isak Sumi said the WC, NNPGs will be leaving for Delhi to “fine tune the political process in order to facilitate an early solution”.
Sumi maintained that since all official talks have already concluded, WC delegation will be meeting Government of India representatives in Delhi to give a final touch for solution.
It may also be recalled that the Working Committee of the seven–member Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) has decided to “prevent the forthcoming election under any circumstances to prevent election without solution”.
Meanwhile, sources said that the NSCN (I-M) delegation, that arrived in Delhi on September 19, were still camped in the national capital.
NSCN (I-M) and Government of India representatives held series of meetings during which both the sides deliberated on the Framework Agreement and the competencies.
With clamor for early solution growing louder the government of India appears to be assessing the situation in Nagaland where holding of election before solution is being opposed. It may be noted that most parties have kept on hold election related exercises and campaigns.
