Women Technology Park inaugurated

DIMAPUR: State College of Teacher Education, Kohima (SCTE-K) inaugurated Women Technology Park at its campus on February 23 on the theme, “Towards a skilled Nagaland”. A press release from SCTE informed that chief guest, director higher education, Dr Katoni Jakhalu unveiled the plaque in the presence of special guest, joint director, DHE, Rokuno, principal SCTE-K, Dr. Elizabeth Walling, teaching faculty and others.
Resource person for the programme was director Konger Agritech, Dimapur Dr.Sosang Longkumer while principal investigator and assistant professor, Dr. Sandip Ratna, SCTE-K and coordinator, SCTE-IQAC assisted the delegates by familiarising them to the machinery for paper plate making, cloth bag making and mushroom cultivation. Later assistant professor SCTE-K and co-investigator Megosiele Khate gave the introduction to WTP and elaborated on how the project would be helpful for students, teachers and unemployed women through skill development programme. The programme concluded with technical sessions and workshops.
