WSSU objects to formation of new union in Niuland dist

Taking note of the formation of a new students’ union under Niuland district, the Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) said it strongly opposed formation of any new students’ union under its jurisdiction.
WSSU, through its media cell, said it will not entertain any self-styled students’ organization functioning without the consent of WSSU.
It reminded that WSSU consisting of 10 units and one sub-unit, covering three districts– Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima, was the apex students’ body of the Western Sumis.
It, therefore, directed all its units and sub-units to refrain from taking part in such self-styled organizations.
