WTH appeals for restraint

Western Tenyimi Hoho (WTH) has expressed pain over the violence that occurred at Lamhainamdi village and appealed to all parties to exercise restraint and resolve the differences in a civil way.
In a press note, WTH also condemned the administration for not taking positive action and taking the issue lightly despite being warned before the incident took place.
It also expressed regret that even in the presence of police personnel, some resorted to taking law and order in their own will, which was highly condemnable..WTH said that adequate and competent police personnel should be deployed in order to avoid any untoward incidents in the future.
While urging both the parties to maintain peace, WTH also reminded that “every Naga has their own traditional boundaries and that must be respected.” The hoho said that such unfortunate incidents could have been avoided if the government had seriously tried to solve the issue once and for all. Therefore, WTH appealed to the government to give due importance to the issue and deliver justice without any biasness at the earliest.
