ZBCCYD Kingdom Surge Sports gets underway at Jalukie town

A five-day “Kingdom Surge Sports 2022” of the Zeme Baptist Church Council Youth Department (ZBCCYD) got underway at Government Higher Secondary School, Jalukie Town ground on Monday with AH&VS deputy director and former vice president of ZBCCYD, Dr. Ilang as special guest.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Ilang stressed on the theme of ZBCCYD “Youth are the arrows of the church” and encouraged the youth to be ready to become the arrow of the church. Asking the youth if they were really the arrows of the church, Dr. Ilang urged them to first seek the kingdom of God and everything they desire shall be given to them.
ZBCC youth secretary, Rampaukupoing Michui briefed on “Kingdom Surge Sports” concept and purpose.
Altogether, eight cuikui (regions)—Mbalulwa cuikui, Pauna cuikui, Ze cuikui, Peren cuikui, Kamdi cuikui, Ngwalwa cuikui, Lamhai cuikui and Jalukie cuikui—from 69 churches are participating in the event. Various games like football, volleyball, athletics for both men and women would be played during the five-day event, which culminates on December 9.
Prayer for the event was offered by ZBCC education & children ministry secretary, Rangro Herie, invocation was given by former youth secretary ZBCC, D. Anui; lighting of the event torch by gold medallist, Nagaland Olympics 2022, Peheiteile; music presentation by Tremolo Music School. The programme was compered by Kekurangsing and Kehecigwangle. The opening ceremony was followed by entertainment and music performances by Stereo Hearts and Peren District Music Society as special appearance.
