Zunheboto, Phek DPDB & Pughoboto SDPDB meetings

Zunheboto and Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) and Pughobto Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meetings discussed various agendas pertaining to development of the respective districts and sub-division.
No cases of discrimination against HIV & AIDS patients: Zunheboto District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU) Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) reported that there were no cases of discrimination against HIV & AIDS patients in the district. According to a DIPR report, the report was presented by Zunheboto DAPCU NSACS during the monthly Zunheboto, DPDB meeting Thursday at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of DC and vice chairman DPDB Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali. During the meeting, advocate Esther from Legal Services Authority also gave a brief presentation on the legal aspects of stigma and discrimination.
Sumi Literature Board, president Vehoshe Murru appraised the members present on the need for a public library in Zunheboto town. He said that the board would be celebrating its 75th Platinum Jubilee in December 2022 and that the board was planning to set up a public library and sought approval and help from the board members.
The chief veterinary officer Zunheboto sought the approval of the board for setting up a Veterinary Health Centre at Ghukiye Village. The board unanimously approved setting up the centre. PHED department gave a PowerPoint presentation on the ongoing jal jeevan scheme in the district where they highlight the completed projects and the ongoing projects.
District Sports Officer, Atoli gave a PowerPoint presentation on the objectives, activities, and needs of the department. She highlighted the recent achievements and activities of the athletes of the district during the recently concluded Nagaland Olympics and Paralympic. Sumi Hoho, vice president Hokishe briefed the house on the preparations for the coming Ahuna cum mini hornbill celebration scheduled to be held on November 14, and sought cooperation and active participation from all the departments.
DPDB Phek to recommend society registrations: DPDB Phek during its monthly meeting Thursday has agreed to recommend registration of three society namely Goodwill Society, Chozuba Town, Progressive Care Society, Kutsapo Village and Living Cluster Society, Phek town for further approval of the government.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Phek, T. Moa Lemtor also discussed verification committee for LADP 2022-23 and agreed to recommend it to the higher authority for approval.
A detailed PowerPoint presentations of the departmental activities were presented by EE Power Phek, Er. Lhuvoyi for power department and SDO Er. Wekhape Puro for PWD(H).
Pughoboto SDPDB discusses shifting of ADC office: Pughobto Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held on November 7 at the DB Hall, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pughobto office under the chairmanship of MLA and chairman SDPDB, Pughoboto, Y.Vikheho. According to a DIPR report, reviewing the last meeting minutes and discussed shifting of ADC office Pughoboto to the new building along with the subdivision office of industries, PWD (R&B), IPR, YRS, and NRE Department which is located in the same area.
Swu informed that the main purpose for constructing the office within an area was considering the need to provide better service for the people. He informed that board members have discussed and agreed to rename Mini Civil Secretariat at Mishilmi as sub divisional office blocks. Swu added that the subdivision of Pughobto was envisioned to provide the most congenial working environment for government servants and the public.
