Global experts at the Economist Enterprise Resilient Futures Summit 2026 highlighted India’s rising role in shaping peace, economic stability, and technological progress. Danny Quah of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy noted that global terrorism, shifting trade dynamics, and weakening multilateral systems have created uncertainty, but stressed that India is increasingly seen as capable of exercising leadership to restore trust and foster cooperation. He said many nations are looking to India to play a decisive role in ensuring peace and stability amid geopolitical turbulence.
Ian Blatchford, Director of the Science Museum in London, praised India’s optimistic approach to artificial intelligence, contrasting it with Western skepticism. He pointed out that India is building AI capacity while balancing economic growth with improving quality of life, even as it faces challenges such as rising energy demand. Blatchford added that India’s developmental trajectory reflects broader achievements of the Global South, positioning the country as a key driver of innovation and resilience in the global economy.
