India Meteorological Department issues weather alert for Nagaland

DIMAPUR, MAY 25 (NPN):

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a five-day weather warning for Nagaland as the Southwest Monsoon sets in.
According to IMD, thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected in some areas till May 28, while very heavy rainfall is likely in certain regions on May 29.
The affected districts include Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Phek, Wokha, Zunheboto, Kiphire, Mon, Peren, and Tuensang, where stormy weather has been forecasted over the coming days. Residents have been advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions.
IMD also recommended downloading the “Mausam” App for local weather forecasts, the “Meghdoot” App for agricultural guidance, and the “Damini” App for lightning alerts.
