The current spell of heavy rains in North Eastern states and sub-Himalayan regions of Sikkim and West Bengal is likely to continue for the next five days. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), intense spell of rainfall is likely to continue along the west peninsular coast during next two days and current spell of heavy rainfall likely to continue over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next five days.
As per the weather update, very heavy rainfall likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim during next five days and heavy rainfall over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during June 14 to 16 while extremely heavy rainfall is also expected over Assam and Meghalaya till June 16.
