The second day of the ongoing Poanglum Mini Hornbill 2022 on Wednesday witnessed events on Indigenous games and Poanglum Fashion Show at parade ground Tuensang.
The special guest of the indigenous games celebration was president Phom Peoples’ Council, Shami Angh.
A DIPR report stated that the special guest was escorted by Frontier Royal Enfield En-Block (FREE).
FREE also took a ride in solidarity to the victims of Oting incident and for repeal of AFSPA from Nagaland.
Speaking on the occasion, Shami Angh said Tuensang has been known to the people since the time of Indian independence and Chang being an owner was like a mother to all the tribes of the Eastern Nagaland.
He appreciated the forefathers of Changs for guiding and leading them to be who they are today.
In the Naga Happung (Go-Kart) competition, Thungti and Kusang of Saksi colony emerged as the winner; BesoYemjong and Langpong of Saksi colony and Namang and Lemba of Taknyu village finished in second and third positions respectively.
In the Log Drum beating Competition, the first position was bagged by C/KhelTuensang village and second position by P/KhelTuensang Village.
