Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN) has appealed to the Kachari community in Nagaland, particularly those residing in border villages, to remain vigilant against possible influx of immigrants. KTCN president Chabi Kumar Mech stated that most Kachari-inhabited villages from Manglumukh to Kushiabill were situated along a 40-50 km porous border shared with Karbi Anglong district. The council urged all village authorities to report any such illegal entry to the nearest administrative or police authority without delay. It also requested that no unknown person be given shelter without proper verification of their identity as legal citizens of the state.
