ANTA Wokha Unit mass social work: To mark World Environment Day 2018, All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit has called for a mass social work from DC Office ‘Y’ junction to Kashmir Lodge ‘Y’ Junction (Taxi Counter area) on the theme ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ on 5 June 2018 from 7 a.m onwards.
The unit general secretary, Lipenthung Ovung, has asked all the residents, shopkeepers, taxis counters, bus counters of the areas to join in on the social work. The unit also requested the administrator Wokha Town Council (WTC) to provide ‘Swach Bharat vehicles’ to dispose of the waste materials. Further, it also appealed to all the taxis owners to participate in the social work.
DUCCF informs on mass social work: All chairmen under DUCCF have been informed to mobilise mass social work in their respective colonies on June 5 from 6 to 8 a.m, cleaning up all the plastic wastes and collecting the waste at one spot where the DMC can easily collect it. DUCCF information and publicity secretary, Simon Keilo said that this was a reminder as per the DMC information to mark the World Environment Day, in line with the United Nation theme: Beat Plastic Pollution.
