A joint meeting between Dimapur district medical officials led by chief medical officer and the district administration led by DC Dimapur deliberated on the issue of making health care facilities available at a time when health services have been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
For this, Duncan Urban PHC and Burma Camp Urban PHC will function as normal OPD for the public till such time the District Hospital is opened for public.
It was decided that arrested/accused persons requiring medical aid may be sent to Duncan Urban PHC while Medziphema CHC has been identified for seriously ill under trial prisoners to be admitted, till such time DHD is utilized as COVID-19 Hospital.
With regard to preparedness for the monsoon, CMO Dimapur informed that sufficient medicine for water borne diseases were in stock.
