Infrastructures should be ready before shifting DC’s office from Dimapur: NIPF

Nagaland Indigenous People’s Forum (NIPF) has opposed the decision to shift Dimapur deputy commissioner’s (DC) office from its current location until proper infrastructure and other necessary requirements were made for the convenience of people at the proposed new site.

According to NIPF, this was resolved during an executive meeting of the forum held here on Monday, during which the issue of shifting of the DC office to the new complex was thoroughly discussed.

Looking at the rapid growth of Dimapur, the House also suggested that the State government should create one DC for rural areas to be stationed at the new complex for the administrative convenience and for the convenience of general public.

The forum’s constitution was also released on the occasion by NIPF adviser and former president P Pius Lotha.
