‘Innovative quest’ for science teachers

Innovation Hub & Space Education Centre, NSC-Dimapur, under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, organized a two-day workshop titled “Professional Development Program for Science Teachers” along with an awareness session on “Innovation Quest” on August 25 and 26.


The workshop was held in collaboration with The Royal Society of Chemistry, Bangalore. A DIPR report informed that the inaugural programme was graced by director of the Department of Science and Technology, Zeneikhonuo Vimero.


In her address, she emphasized the significance of continuous professional development for teachers.
She highlighted the department’s commitment to support and contribute to the science and technology sector and encouraged all participants of the workshop to actively engage and gain maximum benefit from the programme. Resource person of the workshop was S. Md. Peershavali, Teacher Developer from the Royal Society of Chemistry.


Teachers from 44 different Government and Private schools across Dimapur, Niuland, and Chumukedima districts attended the workshop. The Kohima chapter will be held from August 28 and 29.
