Department of State Taxes has informed that it has authorized Commercial State Tax Officers across the state to conduct inspections and verifications related to GST registration and compliance among registered taxpayers. According to a press release, as part of this initiative, Commercial State Tax Officers will also carry out comprehensive market surveys aimed at identifying businesses that are liable for GST registration but have not yet registered. In this regard, the Department has requested the cooperation of all esteemed taxpayers during this exercise. Taxpayers are also urged to provide necessary information and documents to the officers to ensure the smooth and successful completion of the verification and survey process.
