Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Immanuel College and Lotha Baptist Fellowship of Meluri town, celebrated their silver jubilees marking their 25th anniversaries. Following are the reports from each.
Immanuel College Silver Jubilee launching program: Immanuel College held a launching program at the college auditorium on February 2 as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations.
A press release from IC media convener, Akutu Poireng stated that Sharatchandra Singh, principal of the college gave a brief history of the college and also highlighted all the achievements of the college till date. The program was chaired by Athunglo HoD Botany, God’s blessing was invoked by Temjen Longkumer assistant professor Education, and a special number was presented by Khrutalu Dozo, assistant professor Political Science.
BHSS celebrates Silver Jubilee: Bethesda Higher Secondary School (BHSS) celebrated its silver jubilee, with the school’s alumni, on January 30, with Dr. Benny Prasad, director, Chai 3:16, Bangalore as special guest.
A press release from BHSS media cell stated that Dr. Benny Prasad highlighted the importance of finding a purpose in life. He stressed on a purpose driven education as being the need of the hour in order to bring transformation to society. Alumni convenor, Kimbo, presented a report on various activities undertaken both before and for this year.
Earlier, the program commenced with an invocation prayer said by Rev. Vilodi Sakhrie, pastor of Town Baptist Church, Dimapur. A welcome address was given by chairman, administrator and principal; and a short talk by Rev. Moses Murry, who pointed out how God’s grace guided the school since its inception in 1994.
Dr. Benny Prasad and his wife Zanbeni Prasad also presented a song. The evening also witnessed an extravaganza featuring Pepermint, Tali Angh and Team, Alobo Naga, Akhroleh, Hopong Naga, Renpi Kikon, Ruth Murry, Fredrick and Funky Fresh Boys. Benediction was offered by Rev. Nzan Odyuo, director, Golden Church Theological College, Dimapur.
LBF celebrates Silver Jubilee: Lotha Baptist Fellowship (LBF) Meluri town celebrated its Silver Jubilee under the theme, “Let your light shine” on January 30.
A press release from LBF fellowship secretary, R. Lawrence Lotha stated that Rev. Dr. L.L. Kikon secretary mission and evangelism Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), thanked Almighty God for His faithfulness and urged all believers to be true torch bearers for Christ.
He also thanked all previous leaders of the fellowship, Churches and fellowships under Meluri town for nurturing and caring for the small Lotha fellowship for 25 years.
DC Phek, Orenthung Lotha, exhorted the congregation and thanked the people of Meluri for accommodating the Lotha people.
