A meeting of district task force on immunization was held under the chairmanship of DC, Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome at the DC’s conference hall Dimapur, Thursday.
According to DIPR report, in the meeting DC Dimapur, advised the department of H&FW to initiate the coordination process for successful implementation of IPPI programme in Dimapur to be held in two rounds i.e. on January 17 and February 21.
DPO ( UIP/RCH), Dimapur , Dr. Lanuakum highlighted on Global update on Polio and IPPI 2016, with power point presentation. He informed that a total of 512 immunisation booths would be put up to be manned by 102 supervisors and 2048 volunteers.
Dr. Lanu further informed that the National Deworming Day 2016 would be organized on February 10 as per the directive of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
Meanwhile in a separate press statement, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. M.A.Wati has informed that the first round of IPPI Polio Sunday would be held on January 17 at Dimapur district. All parents have been requested to take their children aged 0-5 years to the nearest Polio Booth in their locality starting from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV). The CMO further appealed all concern citizens to mobilize children to avail the polio drops.
ZUNHEBOTO: Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Zunheboto has informed health workers of all the health units assigned for IPPI duty to be in the respective place of posting during the IPPI starting on January 17.
BPM’s, BAM’s, ASHA coordinators and staffs of RNTCP, DVBO, NLEP, DAPCU besides other vertical programme staffs have been asked to cooperate and participate during IPPI campaign in the district.
