District level inter-high school literary competition on essay writing and quiz under the topic “the internet created to be a change” and “different forms of addiction among students” was organised by department of youth resources and sports at lower forest colony community hall on March 3, 2021.
According to DIPR report, during the programme, district youth resource officer, Chubarenla Longchari said that the literary competition was aimed at broadening and enhancing students’ commutative skills, verbal and written skills as well as expression.
Schools participating in the competition were Chandmari Higher Secondary School, Mt. Hermon, Stella higher Secondary School and Northfield.
The judges were assistant professor, department of botany, Kohima Science College. Dr. Moaakum Kichu and assistant professor, department of sociology St. Joseph’s College Jakhama, K. Alibo Achumi. During the literary competition, Emao M. Lam from Chandmari higher Secondary School bagged first while Hisinle Kemp from Stella Higher Secondary School and Kechanei-u Huozha from Northfield bagged second and third.
In the quiz competition, the first position was bagged by the Mt. Hermon School, while the second and third positions were bagged by Northfield and Stella Higher Secondary School.
