Interface meeting on VKSA-Rabi campaign held at KVK Dimapur

In preparation for the nationwide Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) Rabi season 2025 campaign, an interface meeting was held at ICAR-KVK Dimapur with high-level state officials on September 27 to deliberate on effective implementation strategies.
The VKSA-Rabi campaign, initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, will be conducted from October 3 to 18, 2025 across the country. ICAR-KVK Dimapur will carry out the campaign for 14 days, covering 84 villages under Chumukedima, Dimapur and Niuland districts.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Phool Kumari, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Dimapur. Dr. Girish Patil S., director, ICAR-NRC Mithun, stressed the importance of addressing farmers’ needs and disseminating relevant information. Dr. Homeswar Kalita, joint director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre, highlighted the need for inter-departmental cooperation to maximise campaign impact.
Support for the campaign was also extended by EAC Medziphema, Vithwel Kweho. Discussions included route mapping and logistical requirements, with inputs from District Agriculture Officers Moainla Pongen (Chumoukedima) and Thepusa Nakhro (Niuland).
The campaign will be executed by three teams comprising resource persons from KVK Dimapur, ICAR Nagaland Centre, ICAR-NRC Mithun, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, NSRLM, Fisheries, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, and Soil & Water Conservation departments.
A total of 20 officials from various departments attended the meeting.
