DIMAPUR, AUG 25 (NPN): Power department has informed consumers under the electrical division Dimapur that intermittent shutdowns of feeders and lines would continue due to ongoing works under the revamped distribution sector scheme (RDSS-LR).
In a press release, electrical division Dimapur executive engineer Lhuvoyi said the works include re-conductoring of existing lines, installation of new lines and distribution transformers aimed at improving the power supply system.
The department stated that temporary shutdowns were necessary in areas where work was being carried out and requested consumers to bear with the inconvenience. It said the exercise would continue until the completion of all works.
