International literacy day observed in Tobu

Child Protection Committee (CPC), Tobu Village in collaboration with Development Association of Nagaland commemorated “International Literacy Day” by conducting Literary Competition for the students of GMS & GPS on September 8, at Community Hall, Tobu village.


A press release from CPC secretary informed that, total of 30 participants from GMS and GPS competed in poem recitation, painting and quiz competition.


The cash prizes for the literary events were sponsored by Andrew Chongo and P. Metchai, and the exciting prizes for the winners and participants were sponsored by Development Association of Nagaland, Dimapur.


Earlier, a short programme was held to mark the International Literacy Day in presence of Tobu village council, Tobu Village Students’ Union, women society, teaching faculties of government schools, DAN & CPC Tobu.
The programme was chaired by secretary CPC Davidson Ngushu, invocation by B.T Langmai and welcome address by chairman CPC. Y. Khangnyu P/T GMS.
