Along with the rest of the world, district hospital Kiphire May 12 celebrated International Nurses Day with medical officer Kiphire, Dr. Holiba Anar appreciating the nurses for their contributions and sacrifices.
Encouraging the nurses, Dr. Holiba also acknowledged the service rendered for the welfare of the patients. Medical officer said although the district had less manpower and less facilities, the nurses were offering their best undergoing all hardship.
On the role of the nurses, Dr. Holiba also asked the nurses to not only treat the patient but also to educate while performing their duty.
Further, he asked the nurses to reaffirm their commitment and follow the footsteps of Florence Nightingale. Ajungla president chaired the programme, Asangla shared on the significance of the day and Botoli proposed vote of thanks. The programme was followed by lunch.
LONGLENG: Trained Nurses Association (TNA) Longleng observed the 9th “International Nurses Day” on the theme “Nurse: A force for change: care effective, cost effective” at IDSP hall, CMO office May 12.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Renpon appreciated the TNA Longleng unit for organising the programme and encouraged them to continue with the good works.
Earlier, nursing in-charge Ajungla spoke on the significance of the day, invocation was said by Shaulau, scripture reading by Lithei and Choiom presented a special song while the programme was chaired by Handijungla. Later, the nurses of the district visited the district hospital and distributed gifts to the patients.
PEREN: Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Peren unit observed “International Nurses Day” on May 12 at District Hospital, Peren. Addressing the gathering, medical superintendent Dr Atsangla spoke on quality, roles and responsibility of the nurses.
She urged upon all the nurses to give their best in terms of service provided and to keep upgrading themselves to provide proper service delivery. Assistant nursing sister Nzhule delivered a speech on the theme “Nurses: the force of change: care effective, cause effective”.
The programme was chaired by DH Peren, male nurse Philip and attended by medical officers and district hospital medical staff.
CHANGTONGYA: The nurses of Community Health Centre (CHC) Changtongya observed the International Nurses Day at the hospital premises along with all the staff on May 12.
The programme, chaired by Limala Mar (B.Sc. nursing), commenced after invocation by Takameren (Pharmacist). On the occasion, a short speech on the theme “Force for change: care effective, cost effective” was delivered by Dr. Wapang M.O. (AYUSH). Lastly, Dr. Imtijungshi S.M.O proposed vote of thanks and exhorted the staff in general to keep up the good work and give the best in serving the community.
