Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, graced the inaugural programme of the 5th Mon International Trade Fair & Expo 2024, as guest of honour on December 11 at Local Ground, Mon.
In his speech, the DC thanked all the stakeholders, partners, singers, actors, viewers for participating and organising the event at Mon despite being a remote area.
He said in spite of many challenges and difficulties, Mon International Trade Fair & Expo has been organised consecutively for five years.
He also spoke about the significance of such events being multilateral, which provides the local entrepreneur an opportunity to expose their products and at the same time learn new things from the outsiders. He appealed to the local people to interact and share with the outsiders to get more ideas.
Short speeches were delivered by Bandang Wati, SDPO, Manpang, representative of Konyak Union and TingshimWangnao, treasurer, all Wards of Mon. The programme was chaired by Er. Mhao Humtsoe, EAC Mon and welcome address by L Samuel Konyak, SDO (C) Mon, while a special number was presented by Chahwang Konyak and Team Loyal.
