Internship appreciation ceremony organized at Thinuovicha Memorial GHSS, Kohima

Class 12 students of Thinouvicha Memorial GHSS and Dr. Neilhouzhu Kire GHSS, Kohima who are taking Electronics & Agriculture trade under Vocational Education took up internship for 80+ hours in the field of Agriculture, Automotive and Electronics.
To appreciate their efforts and achievement, internship appreciation ceremony was organized at Thinuovicha Memorial GHSS, Kohima on February 23. The internship was initiated by Lend A Hand India in 4 Government schools in the state as a pilot programme under Vocational Education.
Joint mission director, Samagra Shiksha, Dr. Chumbeni Kikon, who was the chief guest of the programme, spoke on the importance of vocational education and also encouraged the school heads and teachers to document the best practices of the activities in the schools.
Academic officer, Nagaland Board of School Education, Dziese Tsurho, said that the students must impart different skills and encouraged the students to take Vocational Education seriously as it will help them benefit in their career or employment in the future.
Assistant manager, Lend A Hand India, Imdangjungla Jamir, shared the objective of the internship programme. She further stated that the internship provides students with an opportunity to have a real time experience of “World of Work” and learn hands-on skills of their vocational subject.
The same programme was organized at Diphupar A GHSS and Purana Bazar GHSS on January 27 and 30 respectively.
In Nagaland, 32 students completed their internship from the four schools under Vocational Education.
