IPR, V&AH deptts bid farewell to retiring officers

Department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) Nagaland Kohima on Saturday organised a farewell for its retiring director, Pausui Zeliang who has served the department for the last 35 years at IPR Conference Hall Citadel Kohima.
In his speech, the retiring director said serving the department for the last 35 years had broadened his outlook towards life adding that the days with the department has been his best days.  
Sharing his experiences in the department, Pausui thanked the department officials and staff for their support and cooperation during his service. He also encouraged the young officers to work for the betterment of the department.
The incoming director Limawati Ao, in his address, described Pausui as fatherly figure, friendly, straightforward person who never neglected his duty. He urged the junior officers to emulate him so as to protect and work according to the interest and welfare of the department.
In a brief address, secretary IPR, T. Ao IAS said though he was associated with outgoing director for few months but found him as good leader.
 He wished the outgoing director good health and fruitful retiring life.
Other speakers who spoke include, DPRO Kohima Ruopfiileno Mepfhiio on behalf of DPROs and joint director Tokishe Sema on behalf of directorate staff.   
The programme was chaired by joint director IPR Dominic Yazokie, invocation prayer was said by Kevizayieno deputy director, special song presented by Ayimla Jami and others.   
V&AH: Department of veterinary and animal husbandry (V&AH) Nagaland on Saturday organised farewell programme for the outgoing V&AH director Dr. R. Thungchamo Ezung at directorate conference hall Kohima on Saturday.
Speaking at the programme, Dr. Ezung highlighted some of the achievements of the department like amendment of department’s service rules, establishment of veterinary hospitals and dispensaries and allocating of veterinary mobile clinics that could employ unemployed veterinary doctors, which was first of its kind in the country. 
He informed that the central ministry has directed the state veterinary and animal husbandry department to set model for whole country with the given opportunities.
Retiring director also challenged the upcoming officers to renew their strength and work harder with wider opportunities ahead of them. 
Sharing his experiences of ups and downs with the department’s activities, Dr Ezung advised the department staff to work together unitedly for good result. 
He also reminded the department officials to be alert and stressed the need to be on guard to prevent any disease outbreak in the state.
In his address on behalf of the government of Nagaland, the commissioner and secretary, V&A.H, MK Mero, said the outgoing director was quiet intellectual and expert in the department’s activities. 
He suggested the remaining officials to utilize his expert knowledge about the department and activities. Mero acknowledged Dr. Ezung for his tremendous contribution towards the department during his last 35 years in service.
Commissioner and secretary also challenged the department officials to create the vision plan to be self-sufficient of meat in the state by 2025 as the present scenario was importing huge quantity from outside. 
He informed the service rules framed would be sent for approval in the assembly.
V&AH additional director, Dr. Viral Yore, CVO Dimapur Dr. Temsumeren, NVA president Dr. Ilang, NVFAA president Tokiho Swu, registrar Ala Rosetso and incoming director Dr. I. Pihoto Khala also address the gathering.
The programme was led by joint DOV Dr. S.A. Walling, innovation prayer said by Dr. Hevito Shohe deputy DOV, special song presented by DOC choir.
