IRCS Chumoukedima holds voluntary blood donation camp

DIMAPUR:

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Chumoukedima district branch, in collaboration with NU Health Centre SAS Medziphema and the Blood Centre Team of District Hospital Dimapur, conducted a voluntary blood donation camp at Nagaland University, Medziphema Campus on February 20, 2026.
The inaugural programme was held at the Administrative Block conference hall chaired by Vichutoulie Mere, chairman IRCS Chumoukedima district branch. A prayer was led by Prof. L. Daiho, department of Plant Pathology, SAS Nagaland University. Motivational speeches were delivered by Dr. Rongsen Longkumer, I/C Blood Centre DHD, and Kholie Dolf, MCM IRCS Nagaland State Branch. Prof. Dipak Sinha, Pro-Vice Chancellor, NU Medziphema Campus, also addressed the gathering and declared the camp open. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Bendangchuba Pongen, MCM IRCS Chumoukedima district branch. In total, five donors comprising university teachers, staff, and students came forward to contribute to the noble cause, exemplifying the spirit of humanity.
The IRCS Chumoukedima district team included: Vichutoulie Mere, chairman; Mhiesitsolie Khate, secretary; MCM- Bendangchuba Pongen, Kivikhe Zhimomi and Keviyato Whiso.
Meanwhile, IRCS Chumoukedima branch expressed gratitude to the Blood Centre Dimapur District Hospital and Nagaland University Medziphema Campus for their support in successfully conducting the camp.
