IRCS Nagaland conducts CPR training for CRPF personnel

As part of the nationwide observance of “Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Awareness Week,” the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Nagaland State Branch, in collaboration with the 78 Battalion CRPF, Zubza, conducted a CPR training programme for battalion personnel at the CRPF Campus, Zubza, Kohima, on October 15.
According to a press release issued by IRCS Nagaland, CMO-SG (Commandant), Dr. Sangita Mary Raja, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of CPR knowledge and training. She explained the definition, timing, and method of administering CPR, and emphasized that timely intervention can save countless lives during critical emergencies.
Trainers from IRCS Nagaland conducted both theoretical and practical sessions, with participants actively engaging in hands-on practice and demonstrating strong enthusiasm and commitment to learning the life-saving procedure.
The programme aimed to enhance awareness, preparedness, and capacity among uniformed personnel and the public in performing CPR techniques during emergency situations.
