In a visit to Aghunato irrigation department under Zunheboto district, executive engineer (irrigation) Huskha Yeptho interacted with GBs and Village Council chairmen of the area on February 26.
A press release by the department stated that the programme was held in order to identify the land which can be augmented for cultivation.
During the interaction Huskha informed that the government was about to assist the villagers by constructing proper irrigation channel to enable the villagers extend their land for cultivation.
He then added that several areas under Aghunato sub-division have been identified for submission to the higher authority.
All GBs and council chairman under Aghunato were present in the programme.
