Against the backdrop of the memorandum to chief minister by non-Naga communities of Dimapur, published in the local dailies, Dimapur District Citizen Forum (DDCF) held emergency meeting consecutively on December 15 and 16.
The forum said that the house resolved to denounce the statement by “presidents and secretaries”, of non-Naga communities of Dimapur. After an apology was tendered by the concerned person(s) and the president of Marwari Samaj in front of all the members present in the meeting, DCCF said that the matter was resolved within the DDCF.
Further, the house also resolved that no member/s of the DDCF will make any publication, which can hurt the sentiments of other members of the forum.
Meanwhile, DDCF has encouraged members to work for peaceful co-existence in the spirit of accommodation and consultation.
